ad victoriam

It's the year 2000 and it's been nearly two years since the end of the second wizarding war. The most that has happened since the ending of the war has been tracking down stray death eaters and rebuilding Hogwarts, which has recently been finished and a white oak tree has been planted on the grounds in remembrance of those who lost their lives fighting in the war. It seems that the wizarding world has gone back to normal and people have moved on to new jobs, careers, and relationships. What will the future be? It's up to you.

Hannah Abbott is on your masterlist, but her url is invalid. Is she taken or open?

She may have quit; we didn’t receive a message from her, but if she deactivated, that’d be why.

This is the same anon as before, who asked about how to RP over Tumblr. If I do end up applying, how exactly does the 'admission' process go? Like, is there a board the votes on whether the applicant is in or not? How long does it usually take to get a reply? Will you let me know if I get rejected? Like I said before, I'm just new to Tumblr RPing and, well. I want to have all of my facts straight before trying to start.

Oh, honey, it’s not as complicated as you’re thinking. Don’t sweat it!

It’s all very simple really, and I say don’t worry about it. Even if you’re not familiar with it, I’m sure you’ll learn fast. I really hope you apply!

Why did you chose to keep Fred alive? I mean, I know he was a big character and all, but he died in the war... And please, don't take this as offensive or rude, I'm just curious. :)

Because we could! :3 So we kept him alive. Plus, our George would like to twin with somebody :)

I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but I've never done an RP on Tumblr. I'm not quite sure how it works. Would it be a situation where the individual characters post on this (the main blog) or would the RP typically be a back and forth over PM...? Sorry, like I said, I'm just curious and how exactly it works will impact my decision on applying.

First of all, you’ll make a separate blog, and from there - you’ll make text posts with paragraphs of your RP, and then reblog it from each other :) It’s really quite simple once someone shows you see the fundamentals of it. If you go on one of the RP accounts, you’ll see how it’s done!

Two years have soared by after the Battle of Hogwarts, the end of the Dark Lord’s tirade and the tragic terror he wrought - and it’s a different world. It’s bright again, like magic should be, and like it was before Death Eaters took over and darkness nearly prevailed. New possibilities have arose, and been taken, whether they be expanding personal horizons, branching out your business, taking up a new job entirely, or just simply telling yourself to smile more often; there’s an air of possibility that some would say is new, while others are positive it was simply hiding. Waiting. Some heal faster than others, and some are living proof that two years really isn’t enough time to erase every scar, but without the threat of dark cloaks and shadows around every corner, it gives those people the peace of mind it takes to do right for themselves. What will you do? It’s up to you - because ‘all the time in the world’ is something we finally have.

As shown above, we have characters we need and then there’s a bunch of other characters we would love to have! We’re a fairly new, literate, 16+ AU Post-War RP in which Fred lives. We’re a lovely bunch and we would love if you would come apply and join us!

Is this a Hogwarts based group or will there be adults as well?

As of now, it’s mostly composed of young adults, save for the one or two still-in-school characters. Graduates, ranging from 18 to 24, are the bulk of the RP, but if there’s a specific part of an older character you’d like to play, you can request them and apply!

How many applications are you getting? What chances do I have if I apply? Of course, I need to be good and suit the character first but after that...? You get me?

Yes, I get you. c:

We’re getting a fair few, but the number of applicants doesn’t hinder any chance you have. It’s based on quality, no matter how many people we have in the submit.

I strongly urge you to apply, and wish you the best of luck!

What does face claim mean?

Face Claim would be the face you use to represent your character. For example, Harry Potter’s face claim would be Daniel Radcliffe, because he’s the actor who plays him in the movies. However, for minor characters who’s actors are very low key/don’t have any pictures or GIFs, it can be changed to someone else who fits their description, like … Hannah Abbott. She’s blonde, and thin, etc., so we chose Emily Van Camp.
